Low-temperature labels, durable even in dry ice

The possibility of freezing samples in laboratories and marking them with labels for low temperatures is of great importance for the conducted research. Ice properties are appreciated by medicine, cosmetology, food industry, processing industry and many other industries, where extremely low temperatures are successfully used.

Also, the possibility of conducting research at high temperatures creates additional opportunities for laboratory workers to expand their knowledge and carry out further laboratory processes. The labels used for laboratory samples must be suitable for such extremely diverse conditions. Labelling of laboratory vessels is designed to last intact for many years and to withstand high temperatures, freezing and contact with chemicals, oils and acids. Not only does the label have to be resistant. The print should also remain legible and durable during storage in such demanding conditions.

FREEZE pack: easy identification of samples, vials and plates

The solution is the etiCALLS low-temperature labels from the FREEZE series. etiCALLS is not only a permanent marking of samples. Diagnoses are provided together with a dedicated thermal transfer ribbon and a printer, code reader and software adapted to work in the laboratory. Properly selected equipment allows for easy and quick design and printing of labels.

An additional advantage of using the etiCALLS system is the improvement of identification processes in the laboratory. Along with it, marking and identification of vials, test tubes, cassettes, dishes, plates, straws, documents and office equipment in the laboratory is easier and more accurate.

Freeze-resistant solutions for low temperatures FREEZE is one of the four solutions of the etiCALLS system.  In addition to the FREEZE series, the system also includes the CRYO, SOLVENT&CHEMICAL RESISTANT and MIGRATON SAFE series.

Low-temperature labels

The labels can be permanently printed with a barcode or 2D code. The FREEZE series offers long-term storage at temperatures from -80°C to +80°C. They can be subjected to multiple freezing and thawing cycles without worrying about label durability and print quality. In addition, labels are waterproof and weatherproof. FREEZE solution is also appreciated by laboratory diagnoses for the fact that the labels remain intact during storage in dry ice. This is particularly important when transporting samples between laboratories. Contact of labels with oils and lubricants, low concentrated cosmetic acids or mild solvents also does not have a destructive effect on their durability. The excellent adhesion, especially on curved surfaces, also contributes to the choice of our labels.

Comprehensive products and marking tool for laboratory environments

FREEZE series is dedicated for:

  •  medical laboratories
  •  analytical laboratories
  •  chemical/pharmaceutical laboratories
  •  forensic laboratories
  • cosmetic laboratories
  • food laboratories
  • water and soil testing laboratories
  • cell banks, blood, tissues.

The etiCALLS system provides laboratories with comprehensive products and tools for marking and identification of samples.

If laboratory processes are carried out at even lower temperatures, e.g. in liquid nitrogen, use the CRYO series from the etiCALLS system.
