Shelf Pack enables quick and efficient marking
Properly marked storage shelves improve organisation of work in warehouses
Knowing where items are located is the basis of effective warehouse management.
Using advanced IT storage systems is impossible without properly labeled racks and shelves in the warehouse.
A system such as this doesn’t work properly without a label, which is why we have introduced Shelf Pack to the Citizen Consumables Program.
Since there are no standards for the formats of labels in warehouses and the creators of storage systems can arbitrarily decide the way shelves and racks are described, we propose a universal solution: continuous label rolls, which allow you to print a label of any length.
Of course, the length of the overprint is limited by the capability of the printer used. For all recommended Citizen printers, the longest label may be 800 mm long – and up to 4 m in the case of printers in the CL-E series.
Crucially, the Shelf Pack also includes a thermal transfer ribbon that will allow you to make the overprint with optimum quality and durability.
Recommended printers
CL-S and CL-E series printers with installed cutter are recommended for the printing of warehouse markings. The material is prepared in such a way that it is easy to separate the label from the liner.
Shelves and rack numbers can be printed in the form of descriptions and / or barcodes. The barcode label describing the shelf is an integral part of the IT storage system.
Within the Shelf Pack we offer two materials: white polypropylene film and silver polyester with Retro-Reflective surface, which allows the barcode to be read from a distance.
This is a very important parameter for high-bay warehouses.
Do you know that…
Retro-reflective film used to define the shelves in a high-bay warehouse increases the efficiency of reading the barcode when using a long range reader. Reading appropriately sized barcodes is possible from up to 12 meters.
Good practice
It’s important to have everything in order even in the tiniest warehouse spaces. Well-described storage places of finished products or components used in production processes allows logistics staff to save several dozen hours per year, which can directly impact on – and increase – business profitability.
