Half a ton of fodder for “Fauna”

“A warm blanket for a winter night” – this slogan guided the third collection of gifts for homeless animals organized in Etisoft. The impulse, as usual, was given by our friend Ada Dziadosz, the owner of charming Mafia adopted a few years ago from the shelter in Gliwice. This time, we have decided to help “Fauna” animal shelter in Ruda Śląska. It is a social facility run by the Animal Care Society. Pets can live here with dignity and have full tummies thanks to the “1 percent” support and actions like ours. We knew that it would be a good choice, because the needs of the facility are huge, and the help carried by the social workers – straight from the heart.

Full mobilization for pets

Our employees, as usual, did not disappoint. The action – just like before – met with the understanding and generosity of our Management. Thanks to which – “Fauna” has been endowed with specialist, healing food for animals struggling with health problems. We managed to collect almost 500 kg of dry and wet food for dogs and cats. It’s almost the same as last year! Beata Drzymała-Kubioniok, the manager of “Fauna”, was the most satisfied with the specialist fodder.

Such delicacies – shelter animals do not have it on a daily basis. Thank you very much to all Etisoft employees – Mrs. Beata said with a smile, lifting another package of food from our delivery van.

Additionally we have add a lot of blankets, towels, bowls and toys. We also bought hydrogen peroxide, ethacridine lactate and cotton gauzes.

Empty boxes please our eyes

We also had the opportunity to visit “Fauna” shelter. Currently, about 100 dogs and 60 cats live here. Empty boxes please our eyes – the remains of the time when the facility was bursting at the seams and was home to over 300 dogs. We liked the cattery room very much – warm, colorful, with wicker baskets and scratchers.

Fortunately, awareness grows that having a dog means not only pleasure, but also responsibility. Also, the adoption itself is more thought through. Of course, we still have to deal with very difficult cases and situations, when you cry over the fate of animals – says Beata Drzymała-Kubiniok, at the same time inviting us warmly next year for a visit to the new shelter’s building, which is growing thanks to donors.

We are happy that we could support “Fauna”. We believe that thanks to our help, winter months will not be so difficult for homeless pets.
